I like “creative cauldron”! And my desk can be unorganized on the verge of messy, but I still know where everything is. So it may look messy to others, but as long as I can find everything it’s ok. 😁

Oh yes, I get that! I’m the same way too. I can almost always exactly what I need in the mess!

Love it! 'Creative cauldron' really gets the sparks going! Much prefer this to the term 'mess' because for me, mess implies chaos and confusion, whereas a creative cauldron implies interaction and alchemy! Like a mixing pot of magic 🌟

Yes to all of that! That’s how my painty table feels, especially as the mess starts building. 💫

The transformation from a clean and sparkly space to a 'creative cauldron' speaks volumes about the magic and energy that infuse your creative process. I love how you've embraced the idea that a messy studio is not only acceptable but essential for nurturing creativity. I'm curious, do you find that your creative process is influenced by the state of your studio?

Looking forward to hearing more about your creative adventures this year!

Yes, it is! My studio is still relatively clean, and I can feel the second-guessing and the slight hesitancy in how I approach my art. It somehow just gets easier the more messy it gets. I’m not sure why that is. It’s not like I had a long gap between painting sessions, I’ve been painting almost everyday. But there’s something about a clean studio that makes me a bit more tentative about everything.

Creative cauldron - excellent. My studio is almost always a mess - it's how I work best.
