Love this permission slip! My inner kid likes what it likes and sometimes I need to remember that is more than ok. Let her have her way. ❤️

Painting with your niece is such a beautiful ritual itself. She (and, of course, you) will have indelible memories of spending time with her Auntie. Sometimes we are are own worst critics and task masters. I love this: Do what you love, unapologetically. Love what you love, unapologetically. Thank you for these words today. 🩷 (Pink, for your niece!)

Yes! And she’ll have many of our collaborative paintings to treasure too. I framed a few of the paintings for her the last time she was in India; they’re now hanging in her room. And I have the paintings she made for me stored safely in my journal and in my studio! I’m sure she’ll wholeheartedly approve of that pink heart. Thank you! 💕

"Our paintings these days are a riot of pink." 💗 Love the lesson in here too—when did we learn to put what we love through so many filters?

I know, right? It’s pretty crazy, when you think about it. All the filters and value judgements and hoops that we jump through!
