A scrumptious art journal flip through

Plus a sweet little giveaway!

Hello lovely creatives!

It’s time for another junk journal flip through. I completed this scrappy little art journal just a couple of weeks ago — I’ve been working in it since roughly mid-2023, and here we are, in mid-2024. That’s roughly a year’s worth of painting sessions!

Some of these pages came together fairly quickly, others took days to complete. Not all my painting sessions were fun and free — there were days when I was heartbroken and ragey and numbed out. But this handmade journal held me through all of my many ups and downs.

Many of the pages have words, an expression of where I was at that particular point in time. Others needed no words. There are pages inspired by Netflix shows, painting sessions with my 3-year old niece, experiments and ideas that I was trying out…

That’s one of the reasons why I love the journal so much — it’s a place that can hold all of me — the good, the bad, the ugly.

Anyhow, here’s the flip through. I’ve set the entire video to music, so you can watch it on mute if you need to. {Don’t those pages look scrumptious?}
